We are sad to report the recent passing of another classmate. On March 11, 2009, Karen (TICE) Boughton of Glenmont, NY, passed away. 
Boughton, Karen Anne GLENMONT Karen Anne Boughton, 49, of Glenmont, lost a courageous battle with breast cancer on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 30, 1959 in St. Petersburg, Fla., the daughter of Richard and Rose (Ruzzi) Tice of Glenmont. Karen was a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. She worked for the town of Bethlehem Tax Department for many years. Karen loved long walks on the beach and her dogs, Shelby, Taylor and Tyson. She was the greatest Mom in the world and she will be greatly missed by everyone that has come to know and love her. Karen is the beloved wife of 27 years of Robert Boughton Jr. She is the devoted mother of Shannon, Robert, Jennifer, Daniel and Kara Boughton; sister of Richard Tice Jr.; daughter-in-law of Robert Boughton Sr.; sister-in-law of William (Robin), Willard (Michelle) and Alice Boughton and Cheryl Cahill. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the 4th floor nursing staff at St. Peter's Hospital and to Dr. Kolodziej and Amy at NYOH. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 35 Adams Pl., Delmar. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Those wishing to remember Karen in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Albany, NY 12211 or the American Heart Assn., 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
